Treatment Action Group (TAG) extends its deepest sympathies to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, and their families. We add our voice to the many urgent pleas for speedy and generous international assistance. Widespread reports from the epicenter of the disaster, Port-au-Prince, indicate that many hospitals and clinics have collapsed, thousands have been killed and untold numbers are in desperate need of medical attention and humanitarian assistance. We urge the international community to ensure that aid organizations can rapidly assist all vulnerable populations according to their needs, and without bias, in the immediate aftermath of this tragedy and during their long road to recovery.
