Annual Report Message

TAG_2017_ar_cove_250x347.pngAs you’ll see in our latest Annual Report, in 2017 TAG succeeded in fending off attacks on the ACA and savage budget cuts to NIH, CDC, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and the AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs). These and other threats to our health, rights, and lives will continue as long as the current Administration and Congress are in office.

As two of TAG’s newest board members, we’re pleased to make a very special announcement: thanks to a generous longtime TAG supporter, all donations made in response to this message by July 31, 2018 will be matched up to $25,000! This is the perfect time to renew your support and consider an increased contribution because your gift will be doubled!

Every day different branches of the federal government raise new challenges, which are among the most daunting in the struggles against HIV, HCV, and TB since those we faced in the dark days of the 1980s and the early 1990s when there were no effective treatments for HIV. We can't allow them to take away the results of massive research efforts that have made these diseases treatable — two of them (HCV and TB) curable — and all three of them preventable.

We’ll unhesitatingly continue to push for what’s right; TAG is leading the fight, with allies and coalitions around the country and around the world, to protect vital research on better treatments, better prevention, a vaccine, and a cure for AIDS — and to increase support for high quality, affordable health care for all.

We were able to achieve the successes we had in 2017 because of your support, and with your help, TAG can continue our relentless pursuit of our mission — and if you renew or increase your support for TAG before July 31, every dollar will be matched one-to-one up to $25,000.

We’ve joined the board because we believe wholeheartedly in TAG’s mission and we’re ready to fight for what’s right in the year ahead and beyond. We know you stand with TAG too, so please renew your support for our work today.
