Aspiring to Zero TB Deaths, New Infections, and Suffering Symposium (VIDEO)

On November 13 at the 2012 International Union Against TB and Lung Disease World Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Treatment Action Group (TAG), the Stop TB Partnership, the Sentinel Project on Pediatric Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis, Partners In Health (PIH), and the Harvard Medical School Department of Global Health and Social Medicine sponsored a symposium titled “Aspiring to Zero TB Deaths, New Infections, and Suffering.” TAG’s executive director, Mark Harrington, introduced the symposium. A video message from PIH cofounder Paul Farmer follows. Dalene von Delft, a South African physician and MDR-TB survivor, gave her personal account at the symposium. Panels then convened around four key topic areas: pediatric TB, case finding and diagnosis, TB treatment, and political will. By clicking the following links, you will be able to access the presentations and corresponding slides.
