The Good Participatory Practice Guidelines for TB Drug Trials 2012 (GPP-TB) provide research funders, sponsors, and implementers with an ethical framework for meaningfully engaging communities and other stakeholders in tuberculosis drug trials. TAG helped to adapt the GPP-TB from a similar set of guidelines for HIV prevention trials with other members of the Critical Path to TB Drug Regimens Stakeholder and Community Engagement Work Group. Together with FHI 360, TAG is now working with several TB drug trial sites to develop and test tools for monitoring and evaluating the impact of GPP-TB implementation. This work is funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
