HCV Project Director
Bryn Gay is the Hepatitis C Virus Project (HCV) Director and focuses on global advocacy related to hepatitis C, access to affordable medicines, and harm reduction, particularly in the global South. She develops treatment and diagnostics literacy materials, co-manages with Doctors of the World the data and advocacy platforms, mapCrowd and hepCoalition, and co-facilitates various coalitions/community advisory boards.
Prior to joining TAG in 2016, Bryn provided trade and intellectual property research and policy expertise with the United Nations Development Programme in Sri Lanka and Thailand, and The North-South Institute in Canada. She managed humanitarian projects related to medicines supply, HIV, cholera, and disaster responses in Western Sahara and Haïti. She has led ACT UP (the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) campaigns to address high HIV/HCV medicines prices and failures in the U.S. healthcare system. Bryn’s other activism contributes to drug decriminalization, disability rights, and the social and solidarity economy. She’s a massive fan of Radiohead, scuba diving, and all things hemp.
