Deputy Executive Director – Programs
As Deputy Executive Director of Programs, Erica provides strategic direction and support across TAG’s HIV, hepatitis C, TB, and policy work. She works closely with program staff and with TAG’s executive director and Board to ensure TAG’s programmatic activities and structure advance our mission.
Erica joined TAG in 2011 as Assistant Director of the TB/HIV Project, and moved on to becoming TB Director, then Deputy Executive Director, of TB prior to her current role. Before joining TAG, Erica worked at the CDC’s National HIV Behavior Surveillance System in Baltimore, and the Center for HIV Educational Studies & Training, and the TB Alliance in New York. Erica launched the NYC Condom initiative as an Urban Fellow at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, supported efforts to combat sex trafficking in South Asia, and started the Republic of Georgia’s first breast cancer peer-support program. Passionate about harm reduction, she volunteered at the Baltimore City Needle Exchange Program.Erica received her Master of Public Health as a Sommer Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and psychology from Georgetown University.
