Communications Manager

As Treatment Action Group’s Communications Manager, Dorrit is responsible for TAG’s websites, social media, and online communications/advocacy efforts.

Prior to joining TAG, Dorrit was a consultant, and for over a decade worked for the National LGBTQ Task Force. While there, Dorrit grew, strengthened, and modernized the organization’s web presence. She also revamped their online marketing, fundraising and advocacy materials, including creating, writing, and producing successful e-newsletters for a variety of audiences.

Dorrit is most proud of the work she did to help grow the Task Force’s annual Creating Change Conference. She built the first stand-alone Creating Change website and she also revamped the email strategy.

Before moving into nonprofit in 2006, Dorrit had two decades of experience working in print communications, creative, and web for a variety of advertising and public relations agencies, where she produced her first corporate website in 1997. After college she spent most of the 80s leading in a band in NYC.

A long-time Brooklyn resident, when not working at TAG, Dorrit helps take care of a small gang of rescue dogs and cats. She’s also working on a novel, a variety of outlaw art projects, and is currently trying to relearn Latin and the piano. Someday she hopes to own a miniature horse named Midge.
