Hepatitis C-related liver diseases continue to kill an estimated 15,000 people per year in the United States, despite the availability of an effective cure. This publication makes the case for prioritizing hepatitis C Virus (HCV) elimination domestically, in keeping with the Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan: 2021 – 2025. It outlines pertinent barriers to HCV care among key populations, as well as action steps for proactively addressing them to diagnose and treat more people living with HCV.
