Celebrated philanthropists and real estate icons join forces to elevate TAG’s premier fundraising event and advance HIV advocacy
New York, NY, June 17, 2025: Treatment Action Group (TAG) is proud to announce that Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon — renowned philanthropists, internationally acclaimed real estate leaders, and dedicated advocates for public health — will serve as Event Chairs for the 2025 Research in Action Awards (RIAA).
TAG’s Research in Action Awards, taking place on October 20, 2025, at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York City, honors groundbreaking leaders and activists in the fight to end HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and hepatitis C (HCV). With their deep commitment to TAG’s mission and their track record of leveraging influence for social good, Postilio and Conlon are poised to elevate the event to new heights, helping TAG surpass its ambitious $350,000 event fundraising goal.
“For years, Tom and Mickey have been steadfast supporters of causes that strengthen our communities and change lives,” said Mark Harrington, TAG Executive Director. “Their passion for TAG’s work in advocacy, research, and health equity makes them the perfect leaders to guide RIAA this year.”
Beyond their philanthropic impact, Postilio and Conlon are widely recognized for their command of New York City’s real estate market and their presence across major media platforms, including The Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, and HGTV’s Selling New York. Their longstanding support for the arts and their personal connection to one of TAG’s 2025 honorees (to be revealed soon) bring a unique and inspiring element to this year’s event.
“It’s an honor to serve as Event Chair for the 2025 Research in Action Awards and support TAG’s groundbreaking work in HIV advocacy and public health. TAG has long been a force for change, pushing research forward and ensuring equity in treatment access. We are excited to help elevate this year’s event and rally our community toward making a lasting impact,” said Tom Postilio.
“The Research in Action Awards is more than just a celebration — it’s a call to action. TAG has spent decades fighting for progress, and we’re thrilled to bring our energy and commitment to this moment,” said Mickey Conlon. “We look forward to working with TAG’s incredible team to surpass our ambitious fundraising goal and make this year’s event the most impactful yet.”
With their leadership, TAG anticipates an unforgettable night celebrating visionary changemakers, amplifying public health advocacy, and driving action toward ending HIV, TB, and HCV.
