Gloria Reuben is an award-winning actress, singer and author whose credits span television, film, theater and music.
Gloria’s television credits include portraying Jeanie Boulet on the hit series ER (garnering two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination), Falling Skies, Mr. Robot, The First Lady, Elsbeth and many others. Gloria co-stars alongside Elizabeth Banks and Jessica Biel in the upcoming Prime Video series The Better Sister.
Film credits include Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln (portraying Elizabeth Keckly, alongside Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field), Admission (with Tina Fey), Reasonable Doubt (with Samuel L. Jackson), and the remake of Stephen King’s Firestarter. Gloria plays opposite Ed Harris in the new film My Dead Friend Zoe.
On stage, Gloria’s portrayal of Condoleezza Rice in David Hare’s play Stuff Happens at the Public Theater in New York City garnered her a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play.
Gloria’s first stage play, ELIZABETH KECKLY & MARY LINCOLN: The Last Morning (renamed :In Black And White) was commissioned by Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. The play’s first workshop and public reading were at Ford’s Theatre in January 2025.
In music, Gloria was a backup singer for Tina Turner in Ms. Turner’s tour “24/7,” and has recorded three albums: Just For You, Perchance To Dream and For All We Know.Gloria’s non-fiction book My Brothers’ Keeper: Two Brothers. Loved. And Lost. (an intimate tribute to her two brothers who passed) was published by Post Hill Press in November 2019.
