June 6, 2023 – Treatment Action Group (TAG) is pleased to announce the election of Moe Ari Brown to our Board of Directors. Board member David Puente, who connected Moe Ari with TAG, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Moe Ari into the TAG community. His wealth of personal and professional experience in support of queer and marginalized people makes him a perfect fit to advance our organization’s mission of racial, and LGBTQ equity, as we fight to end HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and hepatitis C virus (HCV).”

Moe Ari Brown is a licensed marriage and family therapist and founder of Transcendent Therapy & Consulting, LLC, specializing in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families in their journeys toward radical authenticity and self-love. He often counsels people living with HIV and is passionate about combating the stigma and structural barriers that make it challenging for them to access appropriate care. “My clients want to live long, full, and happy lives, just like everyone else,” Moe Ari said. “I look forward to supporting people experiencing oppression in new ways through my role at TAG.”

Beyond his clinical practice, Moe Ari is the love and connections expert at Hinge, as well as a frequent speaker, news commentator, and social media creator, using his platform to discuss relationships, gender, and identity from a non-binary transgender perspective.

Executive director Mark Harrington said, “We are grateful to Moe Ari for joining TAG’s board and are excited that he will be sharing his experience and expertise to shape our work.”
