On March 27, 2024, the 1/4/6×24 Campaign and the Stop TB Partnership co-hosted a webinar to launch the Campaign’s new report: Getting Better Faster: Delivering on the Promise of New TB Treatments. The report highlights progress and gaps in scaling up access to shorter, safer TB regimens — one month or once weekly for TB prevention, four months for drug-susceptible TB, and six months for drug-resistant TB — by the end of 2024.

The webinar was chaired by TAG TB Project Officer David Branigan and included opening remarks from Dr. Suvanand Sahu of Stop TB Partnership; a presentation on the report findings and recommendations by its lead author Madlen Nash of SMART4TB; remarks from TB advocate Peter Ngo’la Owiti on the importance of centering the needs and leadership of people affected by TB in the TB response; a panel discussion facilitated by Petra Heitkamp of TBPPM Learning Network discussing country progress and approaches to scaling up 1/4/6 regimens with Edna Tembo of COWLHA in Malawi and Louie Teng of TBpeople Philippines; and a Q&A discussion facilitated by Asgar Ismayilov of Stop TB Partnership & Richa Maheshwari of the Global Coalition of TB Advocates.
