The medicines and regimens used to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) have evolved several times in the last few years. Here we present a collection of TAG materials developed to support community advocates with the information and resources they need to promote treatment literacy and push for universal access to the best available treatment regimens and standards of care.
This suite of materials is designed to build community treatment literacy on the side effects of medications used to treat DR-TB and to support community engagement in active drug safety monitoring and management (ADSM) initiatives.
The Resource Book empowers people undergoing treatment for drug-resistant TB to know the medications they are taking and to be active participants in their own care.
The Activity Book includes strategies and tools to help people better describe and track their symptoms and communicate them to healthcare providers. It also includes activities to help people on DR-TB treatment feel more centered and connected to their bodies.
