1 / 4 / 6 x 2024

Do More by 2024

Inspired by the legacy of Dr. Paul Farmer, the 1 / 4 / 6 x 24 Campaign calls for the “staff, stuff, space, systems and support” necessary to make groundbreaking short-course TB prevention and treatment regimens accessible to all who need them as a human right by the end of 2024.

Join TAG, MSF, and PIH to find out how you can help win 1 / 4 / 6 x 24!

= One- and three-month treatments for TB infection with 1HP and 3HP

= Four-month treatments for drug-sensitive TB with the Study 31 regimen for adults and adolescents, and the SHINE regimen for children with non-severe TB

= Six-month treatment for drug-resistant TB with the TB PRACTECAL and ZeNix regimens for adults and adolescents

x 24= by 2024

& accelerate research and development necessary to expand access to short-course TB prevention and treatment regimens to any groups that cannot currently benefit from them.

The 1 / 4 / 6 x 24 Campaign draws inspiration from the WHO and UNAIDS “3 x 5” Initiative, which aspired to put 3 million people living with HIV in low- and middle-income countries on ART by 2005 — a step towards the ultimate goal of universal access to HIV treatment and prevention. Similarly, 1 / 4 / 6 x 24 serves as a collective priority around which we can rally the energy, political will, and funding we need to get back on track to ending TB in our lifetimes.
